But after 1919, some of the models were equipped with battery-powered starters. The transmission of the car consisted of two forward gears and one reverse. It was controlled by three-foot pedals and a lever that was used in sliding-gear transmissions.

A hand lever on the steering controlled the spark and throttle. A 10-gallon fuel tank was placed under the front seat. The fuel tank placement was for a particular reason because gasoline was fed to the engine only through gravity, and the reverse gears were more potent than the forward gears.
